U.S. executive order terminates sanctions against the ICC

On 1st April 2021, U.S. President Biden issued an Executive Order (E.O.) entitled “Termination of Emergency With Respect to the International Criminal Court,” thereby revoking E.O. 13928 (“Blocking Property of Certain Persons Associated With the International Criminal Court”) from 11th June 2020. Furthermore, on 2nd April 2021, the U.S. Department of State announced in a press statement that it has terminated the 2019 policy of visa restrictions for certain International Criminal Court (ICC) personnel.
