European Commission extends customs duties- and VAT-exemptions for certain goods due to COVID-19

The European Commission has amended Decision (EU) 2020/491, giving relief from import duties and value added tax (‘VAT’) on goods needed to combat the effects of the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak. Commission Decision (EU) 2020/1573 of 28th October 2020 extends the exemptions to the end of 2020.
