UK lowers rate of additional duty on specific imports from the US

On 3 May 2019 HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (UK) has announced that the rate of additional duty on certain goods imported from the United States of America (US) is reduced from 0.3 % to 0.001 %. The new rate applies from 1 May 2019. The aforementioned additional duty is to be paid when importing US goods classified under several specifically listed commodity codes. Additional duties on certain US imports into the UK have been in place since 2005.
