UK publishes new OGEL for EU bound dual-use items in case of no Brexit deal
Today (1 February 2019) the United Kingdom’s Department for International Trade: Export Control Joint Unit (ECJU) has published a new open general export licence (OGEL) for the export of dual-use items to European Union member states. This new OGEL will be needed to export dual-use items from the UK to the EU if the UK leaves the EU without a deal. If the UK withdraws from the EU without a Brexit deal then this new OGEL will come into force at 11pm on 29 March 2019. To learn more please read the Notice to exporters 2019/03.
