US expanding sanctions against Iran

Yesterday, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) designated 7 individuals and 11 entities for Iran-related sanctions. These 18 individuals and entities were involved in nuclear activity such as missile development, weapons procurement, and software theft.

These actions were taken pursuant to Executive Order (E.O.) 13382 and 13581, which target weapons of mass destruction and transnational criminal organizations.
