PST.AG provides consolidated and structured data of several customs-related parameters. These data are managed in a consistent manner with import and export lists, and hence are less prone to errors. While preparing the data, we follow several rules carefully following licensing, specific authorization requirements and declarations for the goods .

HS Code -Classification of Products

The international movement of goods is subject to customs control across national and international boundaries. Several authorities produce a list of codes that are supposed to follow the harmonized system classification. But, these codes often need to be consolidated in order to ensure a proper and uniform handling of the movement of goods.

PST.AG provides a structured index of HS codes for good within wide ranges of products. The data consists of the classification of the product, from which applicable tariffs are achieved through encryption of the goods. Further, a different set of customs tariffs is provided for export and  import. Of the numerous indexes for classification of goods, The Enterprise Data Center supplies the different tariff numbers for import and export together with the relating tariff rates, upon which the consolidated data of PST.AG is based. We also employ the code from Wassenaar Arrangement.

Some countries/sources for which the data of nomenclature of goods are available are,

Duty Rates

In order to aide the calculation of duty rates, PST.AG provides a reliable and legitimate information from several authorities. This data also includes the information from trade agreements made between countries or a group of countries.  Therefore, the data will be very useful in avoiding hindrance in the estimation of the "Landed Cost".

Tariff Measures

Import and export of several products require a special license(s). PST.AG provides lists (and regular feeds) of such goods from several sources. For example, tariff measures for DE - Germany, ES - Spain, EU - Europe, FR - France.

Tariff Measures are used in having "document codes" and "additional codes" - not only license
We take measures for both code and license.

We provide tariff measures for EU, EU member states, Switzerland and Norwegian.
Tariff measures are assigned to tariff numbers (HS Codes). Our data feeds contains detail information such as validity periods, country information, footnotes, measure conditions,  measure types, additional codes, action codes and country groups.

Reclassification

Reclassification of the goods is needed when there is international movement  with customs supervision over countries and states communal boundaries. To cipher the type and characteristic of goods based on the HS codes, the reclassification process is employed. As this new classification code includes (encrypted) directories of goods, e.g., lot number, a tariff code for the same good can be different when it is imported or exported. PST.AG provides data that incorporates this difference.

Reclassification

Free Trade Agreement

There are several trade agreements that encourage business among partner entities by using a separate import and tariff rates. For example,  the EU duties will be lower when importing goods from within the EU. PST.AG supports the process of including the information of trade agreements that will decrease the cost of import duties.

In addition to addresses,  useful additional information, such as opening hours, geospatial information, and the best routes are also available.
